Week 1:The first week of summer i spent most of my time stuck home with nothing to do. By Tuesday I decided I couldn't just sit and do nothing so I started to organize all my books and clean my room. As i was cleaning i found myself reading a book I found in a box called 'The Choice' by Nicholas Sparks. I had read a number of his books, in my opinion Nicholas Sparks is a great romantic novel writer. The Choice relates the story of a grown woman's experience moving into a new city closer to his boyfriend. Gabby works at a hospital as a pediatrician's assistant and lives in a small community near the shore. in time, she meets her neighbor Travis, a 30 year old vet. They soon find themselves attracted to each other in an indescribable way. Gabby and Travis both know it is very wrong due to Kevin which is Gabby's boyfriend. Gabby had to make a very hard choice. I read this book in 2 days, it was so good i just could not stop.
Week 2: My sister Viviana and me went to the movie rental Master Video to check out the latest releases so we could just watch a movie back home and relaz a bit. we chose the movie 'When in Rome'. It is a romantic comedy about a 30 year old woman who is still single. Her little sister was getting married soon, the wedding took place in Rome so she had to go there. During the wedding she got really drunk because she thought she was gonna be single forever. She went to the Trevi fountain where she stole 5 coins. It was said that when you got coins out of the fountain the person who threw the coin falls in love with the person who stole it. So she went back to Rome and threw the coins back but it turned out that one of the guys she thought was under the spell, wasnt. He was actually in love with her so they got married and lived happily ever after. my sister and I laughed so much watching this movie because it had amusing parts and dumb parts as well.
Week 3: My sister and I were still stuck home so we decided to go to Master Video again. This time we did not go for movies, we went for a whole season of a tv show called GLEE. This time Vivi and I decided to invite along my best friend Sami Kafati because she is always so happy and cheerful and we really needed that. GLEE was an awesome series, its a perfect teen catch. its about a singing club in which members of all cliques unite to make something together. anyone who listens to it or watches previews would think its a typical high school musical fling but no, theres actually more into it because it involves not only the lives of teenagers but also grown ups drama. its entertaining not only for us, but for everyone who is into music.
Week 4: This week it was time to quit my lazyness and boredom because I started working in my moms preeschool. It was the summer camp. There were 100 little kids in total and I was assisting the art department since my real passion is art. I woke up at 7 am. and found myself working from 8:30-1:00pm. it was a 3 week camp and everyone had a lot of fun I could tell the little kids really enjoyed it. I got really attached to this one little girl, her name is Maia Vander Heyden, she just turned 6. She is a complete sweet heart, she wrote me a letter before the camp was over telling me how much she was gonna miss me while in France. Not only her i was bonded to, I made lots of little friends. I am really looking forward on going back next year and seeing my little friends again, it was supper fun.
Week 5: This week was joob week number two and I was used to all the getting up early and stuff again. i was enjoying all i could being an assistant and working with the little kids. On my spare time I had to find something to do, so i decided to read because since i was already doing some art, why not read. I chose 'The sisterhood of the traveling pants'. its a teen novel about four girls and how they go seprate ways on summer. what kept them together throughout all summer was the traveling pants. every week one of the girls recieved them and they wrote on the pant something mportant that happened while using them. This book made me wanna see my friends more and more because i missed them. I really enjoyed the boo and reading about each of the girls experience in summer, it gave me ideas of what to do when im bored hahaha.
Week 6: This was the last week working and things were busy since everyone was so excited of leaving. I was sad because i was gonna miss everyone there and specially Maia. shes a very special little person in my life. Sine i had already finished my book by this time, i decided to watch my fav movie once every single day for that week. its called 'Monster in Law'. Its about a girl who finally meets a guy but just because shes not at his level his mom refuses to let them get married. When charlotte finds out Viola's(mother in law) game, she brings it on, and wins ofcourse and finally marries Kevin in peace. This movie makes me laugh so much that i can watch it five times and i wont get bored not once. you should watch it if you havent, youll have a blast.
Week 7: This week i was no longer working at Happy Faces Preschool because the summer camp was already over. My family and I went on a trip to Tela mar from Monday to Thursay. we had such a blast. we stayed at Villas tela mar, but at the hotel not the villas. we had fun in the pool, i tanned with my mommy, we rode horses, we had long beach walks along the shore. i most enjoyed going canecho hunting at night with all my cousins and my uncle. Ricardo Cantero(uncle) is soo wild. He takes risks others wouldnt, i always have fun with him he knows how to keep everyone entertained. when we came back from tela i was so burned, and we were all so tired.but im glad i got to spend cuality time with all my family.
Week 8: This week, I had a sleepover with Sami and we decided to watch a movie called Kate&Leopold. Sami adores this movie and begged me to watch it with her. It basiclly starts in 1876 where Leopold ( hugh Jackman) accidently folloes Stuart through time portal brining him to 21st Century New York. Of course everything is different for him, but he meets Kate and they both fall in love. Trouble comes when Leopold has to go back, if not elevators stops to work ( because he invented it) and all his decendants disappear. When he goes back, Stuart realizes that Kate has to go back through the time portal and marry Leopold which was the whole point of him coming back in time and her going back. Of course they end up happily Ever After. :)
